Perched overlooking the pale sands of Fossa Beach and with views that reach out to Calpe Rock and the low ripple of mountains beyond, the Esmeralda Residence has all the makings of a magical Spanish stay. This two bed two bath apartment boasts two terraces, one covered and one open, but both offering sparkling sea views. It’s not just the dazzling ocean living that marks this apartment on the must-stay map but also the direct access to the pretty promenade and the beach, not to mention the three swimming pools on the property and the option to use adjoining hotel amenities for when you need a little SPA inspired pick me up.

The terraces are undoubtedly one of the most celebrated elements of the Esmeralda Residence. With one to the east and the other to the west, it means you can chase the sun all day even in the winter months, taking breakfast on one terrace to watch the sunrise and sipping an evening cocktail on the other as you watch it sink again.
One terrace comes complete with loungers and patio furniture to facilitate all your alfresco living needs. The other terrace is fully covered and offers animated views out to the city and the sea. There’s a sofa for lounging and kicking your feet up, not to mention a generous four-person dining table and even extra storage for your beach equipment to the side.

Stepping inside and the main living space is cool and functional, offering ample storage, a fold out sofa, flat screen TV, and dining table. The room is airy and offers clean tiled floors and French doors that lead out to the terrace, making it easy to let the soft sea breeze in. Although, the apartment comes complete with full aircon meaning that summers are completely comfortable at Esmeralda.

A generous double bedroom serves up heavy wood furnishings and an attractive en-suite bathroom complete with walk-in shower. The other bedroom offers charming twin beds and traditional Spanish countryside furnishings only adding to the classical nature of this complex.

The kitchen is an ample strip of all the mod cons needed for whipping up easy suppers. There’s a fridge, hob and oven, and even a dishwasher. The kitchen leads out to the second terrace making it easy to move seamlessly into outdoor dining.

Down below, and the three pools ensure that you stay soaked in holiday vibes. There’s even a dedicated children’s pool offering safe splashing for the little ones. As mentioned, the Esmeralda Residence is part of a hotel complex and for a small additional fee, guests are free to use all the leisure facilities including the gym and spa. While the residence doesn’t come with its own parking, you can easily park in the dedicated hotel parking for just 9 euros a day.
